At Westphalia Retirement Center we offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy. Our therapists are here at the facility 5 days a week to provide services to our residents who qualify.
Our therapists are highly trained individuals and offer all the tools necessary to assist the resident in returning to his or her highest level of functioning.
In addition to therapy services, we also offer restorative therapy by individuals trained by the therapists for continuity and maintenance of the individual’s current functioning level.
Physical Therapy: The goals of our physical therapy program are to obtain the maximum functional ability of each individual by increasing the strength and flexibility of joints and muscle and to reduce pain.
Occupational Therapy: The goals of our occupational therapy program are to achieve independence in performing daily activities and to improve joint mobility, strength, and endurance.
Speech Therapy: The goals of our speech therapy program are to obtain maximum speech function and to improve swallowing difficulties by teaching individuals techniques to use to improve swallowing abilities.
