Here at Westphalia Retirement Center, we offer a wide variety of activities to accommodate the needs of our residents. We encourage all to participate, and we offer activities that meet the recreational, spiritual, and cultural needs of our residents. Our Recreational Director offers activities both on and off the premises.
For those residents on our Nursing Center side who are unable to attend our general activities, one-on-one activities are provided in their rooms.
Our residents can enjoy our facility bus to use for off premises outings throughout the month. This includes shopping trips, lunches, country road trips, and personal trips by appointment. Transportation is provided at no extra cost; however, the resident is responsible for additional costs.
Our private movie theatre is enjoyed by all our residents. This includes a widescreen with surround sound for our residents to watch their favorite movies while enjoying fresh popped theatre popcorn and refreshments.
General Activities Include:
- Catholic services weekly, daily rosary, and Sunday radio mass
- Bingo offered 2-3 times weekly
- Auctions
- Happy Hour with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Monthly birthday parties with entertainment
- Exercise programs
- Holiday dinners for residents and their families
- Local senior citizens organizations
- Spa services, including manicures and facials monthly
- Resident council monthly
